Premier takes part in 5th BEF

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Bayar participated in the 5th Baikal Economic Forum /BEF/ that run September 9 in Irkutsk city, the Russian Federation.
Not only Asian countries but the European ones are paying attention on the BEF that plays a main role in political and economic life in Russia's Siberia and Far East. This year's Forum was attended by 29 countries.
The Premier of Mongolia S.Bayar took part in the Forum at invitation of the Federations Board of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. He gave a speech about economic situation in Mongolia, perspective of the regional cooperation and Mongolia's position in it. "This forum opens opportunities to develop mutually beneficial collaboration and creative economic relations. Siberia and Far East are the most suitable zones to introduce new forms and methods and to create an example of collaboration based on traditional relations," he said.
He shared views with S.M.Mironov, a President of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; I.I.Shuvalov, a First Deputy-Head of the Russian Government; I.Ye.Levitin, a Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation; I.E.Yesipovskii, an acting Governor of Irkutsk region, and with V.I.Yakunin, a president of "Russian Railways".
The meetings were devoted mainly to issues concerning the "Ulaanbaatar Railway" Mongolia-Russian joint stock--renovating its technique and technologies, solving some problems regarding shares and participation, renewing its legal base. The two sides confirmed their agreement on overcoming as soon as possible difficulties existing in the "Ulaanbaatar Railway". In addition, the sides established a contract to make preparation for these actions. The contract was signed by J.Bat-Erdene, State Secretary of the Ministry of Roads, Transportation and Tourism of Mongolia, and by V.I.Yakunin, the president of "Russian Railways".
